November 2025: What is your purpose? Contributor of the prompt: *Ceone Leistner

What Is Your Purpose?

I spent years chasing mine like it was some hidden treasure. I kept thinking it would show up with flashing lights or a clear voice from heaven saying, “Suzy, this is it!” Spoiler alert: that never happened.

Instead, I learned that purpose rarely shows up with fanfare. It’s quiet. Subtle. Sometimes disguised as ordinary moments… the deep talks with a friend, the peace that hits during a hike, or the fire that lights up when you’re helping someone see their worth again.

For a long time, I thought purpose had to look like achievement. Hustle harder. Check more boxes. But eventually, burnout and overwhelm made me realize that chasing purpose and living on purpose are two very different things.

My purpose started revealing itself in small whispers, when I sat in prayer asking God, “What do You want me to do with all this passion and pain?” And the answer was simple… Help women reconnect to who I created them to be.

That’s how Roots & Boots was born. It’s not just a business; it’s my heart’s work. It’s showing women that you can live intentionally, stay grounded in your faith, and still grow into the bold, beautiful life God called you to live.

So, if you’re in that messy middle wondering what your purpose is, here’s what I’ll tell you:
You don’t have to force it. You just must listen

Ask yourself: When do I feel most at peace or lit up inside?  What am I doing when time seems to disappear?  Where do I naturally encourage or serve others?

Purpose isn’t something you find; it’s something you remember. It’s written in your wiring… your quirks, your compassion, your calling.

So, breathe. Trust the timing. Keep showing up. God’s not hiding your purpose, He’s preparing you for it.
